Our caregivers go through an extensive pre-employment screening process. We perform interviews, background checks and other screenings before they are considered for employment. In addition, they also must demonstrate compassion and dependability as well as exhibit a true desire to help people.
Can I choose who comes into my home?
Absolutely. In fact, we encourage your feedback where your caregiver is concerned. We want to make sure we’ve matched the best possible candidates for your needs. Your satisfaction and comfort is our priority. Our goal is for your caregiver to exceed your expectations. If you desire a change in caregivers, we will accommodate your request.
Will I have the same caregiver all the time?
We believe that the client/caregiver relationship is very important. Having a primary caregiver will ensure that a stable relationship grows between you and your caregiver. Keep in mind that our caregivers will have days off, vacations and other situations that require time off. As such, we will work early on to identify a team of qualified caregivers matched to your needs so that we maintain continuity in care as much as possible. It may be necessary to schedule more than one caregiver for you if you require long hours in a day or care seven days a week. Your complete satisfaction is our top priority and we'll do what it takes to achieve this goal.
Are caregivers available on nights and weekends?
Tender Mercies caregivers are available seven days a week, 24 hours a day, all year long.
What if I need help with injections?
Tender Mercies caregivers do not provide medical services. They can remind you to take your medications and when to do your therapy exercises, but they are unable to provide medical treatment or assistance.
